Become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with IAA’s Nurse Anesthesia Program of Hartford in Connecticut. We offer two levels of programs: Entry Level and Advanced Specialization. Learn more below and apply now.
Our Advanced Specialization Program is for Master’s degree prepared CRNAs who are certified/re-certified through the NBCRNA. The program offers a 5 semester and an 8 semester option in a hybrid structure (see DNAP Course Sequence – Advanced Specialization). Class attendance is required at the beginning of the program and following each semester which begins the next semester. Course work will be done via distance education, discussion boards, written assignments, and presentations.
Initial applications for the Advanced Specialization Program are submitted to the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program of Hartford. All official transcripts are reviewed internally and forwarded to the Graduate Office at CCSU for final approval. Applications received by June 1st of each year will be considered for interview. Interviews are conducted in the spring and granted to individuals who meet all program requirements — Advanced Specialization. Acceptance decisions are usually made by the end of July. We plan to accept a class of 5. Classes at the university begin in the fall semester (late August or early September).
Due to the sequential nature of the program, transfer credit or advanced standing is not permitted.
